About This Course

The Auto Mechanics (Motorcycle) course trains students to diagnose, service, and repair all common motorcycle brands — from basic tune-ups and brake jobs to full engine overhauls and electrical fault diagnosis.

Motorcycles are Nepal's primary mode of transport, and trained mechanics are needed in every town and village. This course is a direct path to workshop employment or running your own repair garage.

What You Will Learn

  • Engine components: piston, rings, valves, camshaft, crankshaft
  • Two-stroke vs four-stroke engine operation
  • Engine tune-up: valve clearance, timing, spark plug, air filter
  • Carburetor cleaning, jetting, and synchronisation
  • Fuel injection systems: sensors, injectors, ECU basics
  • Transmission: gearbox, clutch, chain, sprocket

  • Four-stroke engine cycle in detail
  • Basic engine tune-up and service
  • Carburetor: function, cleaning, jetting

Month 2 — Drivetrain & Brakes

  • Gearbox and clutch service
  • Chain, sprocket, and front/rear axle
  • Drum brake adjustment and relining
  • Disc brake pad replacement and bleeding
  • Tyre removal and fitting

Month 3 — Electrical & Advanced

  • Motorcycle electrical system overview
  • Battery, alternator, and rectifier testing
  • Ignition system diagnosis
  • Basic fuel injection diagnosis (Bajaj Pulsar, Hero, Honda)
  • Full engine overhaul: piston and rings (practical)
  • Final assessment
