About This Course
The Housekeeping & Professional Cleaning course at R.R. Star trains students to work as professional room attendants, housekeeping staff, and facility cleaners in hotels, hospitals, office buildings, and commercial facilities — both in Nepal and abroad.

Month 1 — Housekeeping Fundamentals

- Cleaning equipment: mops, vacuums, scrubbers, trolleys
- Cleaning chemicals: types, dilution, labelling, and safe handling
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety protocols
Month 2 — Room Cleaning & Bed Making
- Check-out room cleaning: step-by-step procedure
- Stayover room service: occupied room cleaning protocol
- Bed making: single, double, hospital fold, and turndown
- Bathroom cleaning: toilet, bathtub, shower, mirror, tiles
- Replenishing guest amenities and supplies
- Carpet care: vacuuming, stain removal, spot treatment
- Hard floor care: sweeping, mopping, polishing
Month 3 — Laundry, Linen & Professional Standards
- Laundry operations: sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding
- Linen management: receiving, issuing, par stock control
- Guest laundry and dry cleaning procedures
- Public area cleaning: lobby, corridors, lifts, pool areas
- Room inspection checklist and quality standards
- Lost and found procedures
- Guest communication: handling requests and complaints
- Final practical and written assessment
