About This Course
The Welding & Fabrication course covers the three most in-demand welding processes — Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), MIG (GMAW), and basic TIG (GTAW) — plus gas cutting, structural fabrication, and blueprint reading.
Welders are among the highest-paid skilled tradespeople in the Gulf construction industry. R.R. Star graduates regularly pass manpower medical and trade tests to work in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait.
What You Will Learn
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and welding safety
- Arc welding (SMAW): electrode selection, amperage settings, bead technique

Frequently Asked Questions
What welding processes are covered? SMAW (arc), GMAW (MIG), basic GTAW (TIG), and oxy-fuel cutting.
Is welding physically demanding? Yes. You should be in reasonable health. There are no major physical restrictions, but the work involves heat and protective gear.
Will I be ready for a Gulf trade test? Our assessment replicates the trade test format used by manpower companies. Many graduates pass on their first attempt.
How much do welders earn abroad? Entry-level welders in Qatar and Saudi Arabia typically earn NPR 55,000–80,000/month. Certified structural welders earn significantly more.
